Does N.O.W. Speak For You?

By Kimberly Fletcher

For the past four decades the National Organization for Women has presented themselves as the singular voice of women in America. Homemakers for America Inc. would like to propose that no longer be the case.

Maybe you're not sure if NOW speaks for you. Maybe you don't know what they stand for. To help you clearly recognize the differences between Homemakers for America Inc. and NOW, we have compiled a list of items on NOW's agenda and listed them below. After reviewing the list, if you feel NOW speaks for you, great. If not, Give us a try.

Based on the information from the National Organization for Women Website...

NOW supports and/or endorses-

Abortion Rights

Partial Birth Abortion

Same Sex Marriage

Full Equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered and Intersex people

Promote a proactive media campaign promoting Marriage Equality (same sex marriage)

Birth control in secondary schools

Fight the Right Electoral Campaign

U.N. oversight of U.S. Presidential Elections

Increase number of Feminists elected to public office

Defeat the Promise Keepers Agenda

Facilitate removal of biased judges who support "Father's Rights"

Oppose the diversion of public resources to religious organizations and their affiliates for public health care and social service

The above information was taken directly from NOW's website on October 13, 2004.
